How iTunes 1080p content compares to Blu-ray

Ars Technica has an in-depth comparison of video quality for the newly introduced iTunes 1080p content. I was surprised that iTunes content came so close to Bluray, even though it’s only a fraction of the file size.

I was also surprised Ars had to take photos (!) of their TV in order to be legally able to provide this comparison. What a pain. A pirate would have had a much easier job. And possibly gotten a better result.
